Casino Gambling Plan In Ohio
Ohio have announced expansion plans in the casino industry, but these plans have been opposed by the Ohio Coin Machine Association, Ohio Council of Retail Merchants, Bowling Centers Association of Ohio, and Ohio Licensed Beverage Association.
These associations have categorically stated that these plans were not profitable for the economy at this juncture. The plan seemed to be beneficial to the casinos and not to the economy as a whole.
John Mahaney, President of Ohio Council of Retail Merchants, was convinced that it may be a selfish motive where only the gambling in USA casino world would benefit, but practically it would open up around 34,000 jobs if the plan materialized. The impact on the Coin Machine Association and the Council of Retail Merchants would also be felt dramatically and hence was not a good proposition all said and done.
In the event of this proposal being accepted then the cities like Columbus, Cleveland, Toledo, and Cincinnati would stand to benefit as these are the proposed sites for the new casinos, and though in the past Ohioans have turned down such proposals, this time they seem to be in favor of it.
